How to Request Your Rights

We respond to all valid requests within 30 days. If your request is complex, we may need an additional 60 days. You'll be informed of any delays.

Important Limitations

1.Legal Retention Requirements: Some data must be kept for 7 years for anti-money laundering and financial compliance. These cannot be deleted earlier.
2.Project & Service History: Completed projects and transactions may be retained for dispute resolution and regulatory compliance.
3.Verification Required: We'll verify your identity before fulfilling requests to protect your security.
4.No Impact on Legitimate Uses: Legal obligations and platform security needs will not be affected by your requests.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get my data?▼

We aim to provide your data export within 7-14 days after verifying your identity. Complex requests may take up to 30 days.

What happens if I request to delete my account?▼

You can delete your account anytime from your settings. Active projects will be marked complete or transferred. Some data (transactions, identity verification) is kept for 7 years for legal compliance.

Can I object to marketing emails?▼

Yes. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime using the link in any email, or request it via privacy@freelancednepal.com.

Who else has access to my data?▼

Only Freelanced Nepal team members with a business need access your data. We use trusted processors (Supabase, Vercel, Sentry) with data processing agreements. See our Sub-Processors page for the full list.

What if I'm not satisfied with your response?▼

We take all concerns seriously. If you're not satisfied, you can file a complaint with the Nepal Data Protection Authority (if applicable) or contact our Legal Team at legal@freelancednepal.com.
